Hi, I’m Nell. My given name is Janelle but so many people call me Nell. I’m fine either way. I go by both. I also go by nellers, nell-bell, and even co-co. I’m a woman of many names. But the name I cherish most is His.
I am married to my high school sweetie for almost 17 years and together we have a teen and two pre-teen boys. We all live together in the great state of Texas but our roots are Missouri/midwest.
I’ve been a believer since I can remember. I don’t have an amazing “come to Jesus” story. But, boy does that not matter to me. I love how simple and beautiful my story of just always knowing and loving Jesus is.
He has shown up in my life in mighty ways, especially during trials and tribulation. In the recent decade, that has included walking with me through late-stage Lyme disease. My youngest and I both have the disease that comes from the bite of a tick. You won’t hear me speaking much on his story because it’s his story to tell, not mine, but just know, God has seen us through so much and I’m so blessed to have His peace and promises in my life.
I was called into the ministry over a decade ago and, while still sick, feel it’s now time to start sharing my story of God’s never-ending goodness and love through chronic illness.
It’s my deepest desire that my words provide hope and peace, encouragement, and that they help God woo you closer to His heart as you battle your illness (or whatever you might be going through)… He loves you, me, all of us and He has the answers, the peace, the comfort, and yes, even the healing, we’re in need of.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope God touches you through my words because it’s my only desire that God would use this blog for His good.
