Often we’re looking for be kind to yourself quotes or fun little self-care tips and while there isn’t anything wrong with those things, have we ever really let those quotes, or advice, tips etc sink into our soul? As someone with a chronic illness of 13 years, I’ve really had to learn how to be kind and gentle with myself. I share a bit of that in the message below.
…. to yourself!
Oh friend, if only we treated ourselves as kindly as we treat others. If only see saw ourselves through the lens we see others. If only we gave grace and mercy to our own bodies and emotions like we give to the ones in our lives we love.
Let this be the day we do, we love ourselves wholly and fully and without conditions. Let this be the day we forgive ourselves, are compassionate to our bodies that are currently broken but still oh so beautiful. Let today be the day that kindness rules our reflection in the mirror – that person that is staring back at us is the person that needs kindness from us the most, most often.
Be your own best friend, biggest cheerleader, and shoulder to learn on.
Let’s do it.
