Dear Diary - Family Stories

Carline Momma

It’s my honor to sit in the carline for my children. Every day I spend two hours in the carline so my kids don’t have to ride the bus. I’ve had people ask why I don’t just have Nick ride the bus so I can walk to get the other two and save myself about an hour and half. My answer is simple. I don’t mind. I really don’t. Most days I kick back in the car with some stitching and listen to music, while texting my friends.

I get to be the first ones they see when school is out. I love that moment when the teacher opens the car door and in come my happy boys with lots of stories about their days. They grab for the drink I brought for them and happily describe the fun parts of their days. It’s precious and I will miss this time greatly when it’s gone. So I savor it now. It’s a good time!
