No Place Like Home Poem

What does home mean to you? When you ruminate on the thought, does it bring you joy? Peace? Love? Are you comfortable and safe?

I jotted down a little something about what my physical home here and my eternal home there means to me.

I’d love to know what home means to you. When you read this no place like home poem, how does it make YOU feel? Leave me a comment on this blog pots so I can share in the experience of home with you.

Here is a little no place like home poem

HOME

Warm throw blankets piled upon the bed
Soft pillows lulling me to slumber
Dreams
Sweet dreams
Leaving days cares far, far away.

HOME

Where I feel safe
Surrounded
By voices of peace
Soft and forgiving

HOME

Shoes off, bare feet, hardwoods creaking
Pieces of lint in dryer
Smells of Lavender on linens
I breathe deeply in
the clean
the scent
the memories
Refreshed and renewed.

HOME

A place that finds me
Whole
Washed in the water,
Gentle hum of my heart joining His
Dancing within the embrace of Father.

HOME.

One day, only He knows when,
This home will fade away,
And heaven will come into view,
Then, only then
I will truly
be

HOME.
