We got up and left the house by 6:30am Sunday morning. 8 1/2 hours later we made it to Missouri. It was a mostly uneventful trip, except for about an hour of horrible rain storms so bad I could hardly see the road in front of me. We passed a flash flood also. Thankfully it only lasted a short time, considering how long we were on the road. We stopped for breakfast at McDonald’s and then a couple more times to stretch our legs. After checking into the hotel, we went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner and swung by my parents house for an hour to visit before coming back to the hotel and going to bed.
