The Boredom Cure

Next week they go back to school. This past week has been a doozy. The boredom and fighting at all time highs for the season. After what felt like hours of this, I decided I would pull myself away from my to-do list and take them out of the house. We first decided on the Library but as we were about to enter, it dawned on me how amazing it was out today. We’re talking 83 degrees compared to 100 we’ve been having. So we got back in the car and drove a few more minutes down the road to a beach and park that had previously been under water during the Spring floods but that was now enough out of flooding levels to walk around the lake. We walked along the waters edge, collecting rocks, and branches, before walking on the trail with said rocks and branches.
