Welcome to the second edition of the Weekend Chat series here at Sincerely Nell. How was your week? I’d love to know your highlights. Feel free to leave them in the comments section below!

This week has been kind of crazy. Mostly a typical week but the end of it has me being referred to a cardiologist. Me! 42 year old me. There is a lot of heart disease on both sides of my family, I have had Lyme (which can attack the heart) for 13 years, I’m overweight, and although recently my cholesterol numbers were fine, they’ve not always been so. My symptoms are concerning enough that seeing a heart doctor is prudent. So, I’ll be getting an appointment and insisting I be seen as soon as possible. Let me tell you, it’s never a dull moment around here.

So, let’s chat about more light-hearted moments of the week.

Monday my husband and I got his car inspected, ordered lots of furniture, grabbing lunch, and back home. We had a great time together. Minus the hour and a half sitting around for a car inspection. Who likes that?

And lunch at our favorite place – 54th Street Grill & Bar

We ordered this dining room set and the living room set. It’ll be months before these items are in stock but we aren’t in a rush so we’ll wait.

I spent quite a bit of time being creative. You’ll catch that theme with each passing Weekend Chat blog post – I’m highly creative, it’s what I do. Below you’ll see what I worked on this week.

I was commissioned to draw my cousin’s pup that had passed away not that long ago. I think he turned out sweet. I’m brand new to inking portraits so it isn’t perfect but it was appreciated by her and that is what matters. And of course, I hand embroidered several pieces because I love stitching.

Lots of walking with my kiddos. Don’t you love my outfit? I’m such a fashionista!

I wasn’t very active on on Instagram this week since I’ve not been feeling great. I kinda just went radio silent but here are a couple that I did end up posting. In case you don’t yet follow me on my public account.

A bit about following your gut when you aren’t feeling well.

And a bit about my hero in my chronic illness journey.

So guys, if you read last weeks post you’ll know that I had lofty goals of posts I was going to write and not one of those goals happened. Such is life I suppose.

I may try to get them written this week but frankly I have quite a busy life and we shall see what happens.
