I really never expected this – this need for a weight loss program. But here I am. Over 200 pounds and in need of losing at least 50. And I just can’t seem to do it on my own. I’ve tried. Many times. It’s almost like I’m a smoker again trying to quit the habit. I just can’t on my own. I need tools. I need help. And so, this is where weight watchers steps in. I suppose.
I really don’t know what to expect from the experience of weight watchers. I don’t know if this is going to work for me or not. But I do know it’s worth the shot because I know trying on my own hasn’t been working. Not only have I been unable to lose more than ten pounds but I’ve actually been putting on weight!

Nine years ago, pre-weight gain. Probably about 145 pounds.
I just can’t believe how large I’ve gotten in the several years since being in treatment for Lyme disease. My weight gain started when I was on steroids. Then fatigue and pain kept me from working out. And a life time of bad eating habits added to it and before I knew it, I was up 50-75 pounds!
I’m still sick with Lyme disease. I’m still fatigued and in pain. But it’s better than it used to be. And I’m tired of living in this overweight body. It’s uncomfortable carrying all this extra weight around. Not to mention, I really dislike how fat my face has gotten. I just don’t recognize the woman staring back at me in the mirror anymore.
So I’m giving weight watchers a go! My in-laws have been successful at it. And as Adam has said, what do you have to lose? Just some money and, possibly, a whole lotta weight!
