He’s spending the night on the living room couch tonight. I brought him a drink and pretzels to snack on. As I was walking away he called out to me, “you’re so nice”. I wasn’t sure I heard him correctly, so I walked back and said what? He said it again. He grabbed my hand and I patted his head. This small gesture touched me in a way he’ll never know or understand. I’m thankful for his sweet words. Some days I feel like I’m failing my children. And then they say or do something sweet and it turns my negative thinking around. I have great children. And I’m a good mom.
